How Act Six Works

Act Six uses a simple but powerful four-part strategy:

Support and Inspire Send and Fund Train and Prepare Recruit and Select
  1. Recruit and Select
Annually recruit and select a diverse, multicultural cadre of 10 of Portland's most promising urban student leaders.
  2. Train and Prepare
Intensively train this group of students in the year prior to college, equipping them to support each other, succeed academically and grow as service-minded leaders and agents of transformation.
  3. Send and Fund
Send the teams together to George Fox University for four years of fully funded education at one of our region's most respected Christian liberal-arts colleges.
  4. Support and Inspire
Provide strong campus support and ongoing leadership development to nurture these young people as they find their vocation and grow into the next generation of community leaders.
