ELIGIBILITY

Students from the greater Portland metro area prepared to go directly to a four-year university.

 

ELIGIBILITY

Students who desire to attend college in an urban environment while starting their college education at a community college before transferring to a four-year college.

OPPORTUNITY

The Direct Four-Year Track sends scholars as freshmen to George Fox University where they live on campus, developing and practicing their leadership for four years while earning a bachelor’s degree.

 

OPPORTUNITY

The Urban Service Track provides a unique opportunity for scholars to live on campus at Warner Pacific College for four years while spending two years gaining street-level urban leadership service experience and earning general education credits at Portland Community College (PCC). Upon attaining enough general education transfer credits, scholars will complete their bachelors degree at Warner Pacific College.

SUPPORT

Once on campus, faculty and staff mentors meet weekly with the cadres and regularly with each individual scholar throughout the first year. Mentors provide social support and connect students with campus resources. In addition, George Fox and Act Six staff provide ongoing leadership training, internships, and career opportunities.

 

SUPPORT

During their first two years in Portland, scholars continue to meet regularly with Act Six staff and receive extensive academic support, advising, and personal mentoring to ensure they are prepared to transfer. Throughout all four years, Warner Pacific and Act Six staff provide ongoing leadership development, internships and career opportunities.

SCHOLARSHIP

Scholars receive the full-tuition, full-need Act Six award for all four years at the university.

 

SCHOLARSHIP

Scholars receive regular PCC financial aid for their first two years. During that time, they receive housing at Warner Pacific, and when they enroll full-time at Warner Pacific, they receive two years of the  full-tuition, full-need Act Six award.
